This month has seen and continues to see many changes at Black Eagle Designs. Here is what is being worked on:
A digitizing service that is pretty much 'self-service' is coming on line in a week or two. You will be able to upload your artwork with specific instructions and receive it back within 24-48 hours per your specification. You will see the design stitched out on the type of material you are going to be embroidering on, including hats. All files are available in PXF along with other common formats. The launch of this service will be announced as soon as it's online and ready for access.
Hook Wash, our other company, is getting a face-lift on the website. We've got a professional web designer taking care of business there. Several new distributors have come on board since the last newsletter and we look for 3 more to be added by the end of June. You will be able to go to the website, click on the Distributor tab and find easy links to get to the company of your choice.
Fixyourstitch which is owned by husband/technician Jim Auclair, is debuting its own Machine Maintenance Email Group this month. The group is free. It's all about machinery, all kinds of machinery, not one specific brand. Jim techs nearly every brand so is very knowledgeable and will be able to answer questions. He'll be posting pictures of different machines along with tips on maintenance, etc. The group is not moderated. No flaming will be tolerated at any time and none of us will be expected to be subjected to it and 'just deal with it'. The group will be for fun, learning and a sharing of knowledge. If you would like to join this group please email me directly at jerilee@blackeagledesigns.com and I will add you. It's a small group now but expected to grow in leaps and bounds.
Today's design is the third and final in the Phoenix series. Future designs will reflect some changes I am making in my personal life. I am headed to Sedona (AZ) next month to take a Reiki class and see if it is a good fit for me. If it is, this is the path that will be investigated. The designs will reflect such a quest and for those of you who know me, you've seen some differences in the designs of late. The designs sent through the digitizing service that is being put into place will of course be whatever you send in. My personal designs will continue to diverge into more environmental, earth and soul conscious themes.
The Black Eagle site is changing a bit to be more than embroidery. You will find areas for veganism (2 tabs) as the vegan clothing line is on target for debut in a few months and the Good Read/Good Info tab has some new links/books there. While embroidery is the main focus of this site, it reflects a bigger world as we all live in a bigger one. Life is not just about work....it's about life........
