Late July Newsletter

July 29, 2008

Greetings all!

Looks like I took a bit of time off, doesn't it! Ah, life
just keeps happening.

There is a cute design attached, a dragon with a flower.
It's not new but I didn't want any of you to think I'd
forgotten about you! I am working on a pack of 12 designs
for you - astrological designs. They should be out next
week so you will be getting another newsletter then,
replete with the full pack of designs.

How did I come upon this pack choice? Last month I was
stung by a scorpion here in Phoenix. That was very
interesting. I decided to immortalize the critter but
alas, could not bring myself to actually digitize one as
they are kind of scary looking so promised everyone on
EmbForum a design to 'commemorate' the event and decided to
do the sign for Scorpio. Then I decided to take it a step
further and do an entire pack for all of you. The designs
are not extravagant. They are each one color, about 2
inches tall. I have the pack half done so will finish up
next week and get those out to you with another missive.

As I mentioned, life just keeps happening. Doesn't it for
everyone?? :-) The biggest change we will see here at the
Auclair home is a move back to Oregon. We've decided to
relocate one final time and this will truly be our last
major move for a very long while. Portland is where we
will land. Jim and I are happy to be returning to the
'land of lush' and I don't mean via a bottle. Green
everywhere is going to suit us just fine. Jim has an
incredibly large customer base there and those machines
have missed him. He's missed his Pacific Northwest
customers too. It just makes sense! He's got wonderful
customers everywhere he goes and we thank every one of you.
We've family up in Portland as well, Carly and Dane, my
grown babes. It's time we went back to the nest as it
were.

For those who may not know, I host software webinars every
two weeks through Hirsch, representing EmbForum. We do use
Pulse software so we address the tools in that software but
I always work in some digitizing. If you'd like to attend
the free webinars, you can register at
www.hirschinternational.com. Go to Events then down to
Software Hints and Tricks. They are at 2 pm Eastern and 10
am Eastern the next time - every other one is in the
afternoon, then the other is in the morning. If you are on
West Coast time they are ALL in the morning.

Some other news: I've got a new website that came on line
today called Busy Head Creations -
www.busyheadcreations.com. It's a site for taking care of
any custom digitizing needs. All designs can be done in
Pulse format (PXF) but other formats are available as well,
both commercial and home formats. One stop shopping is what
this is!

I'd like to remind you all that Jim has a free machine
maintenance list. It's for commercial embroiderers.
Unfortunately he does not know home machines. Heck, he
can't even do anything with mine besides oil it! But if
you have a commercial machine, he's your guy. If you'd
like to join the list but have not had the chance, simply
email me and I'll add you.

I am trying to figure out how to invite all of you to
webinars or how to give you digitizing information via the
type-written word. I may put together pictures until then
with explanations. If there are any particular techniques
you'd like to see please let me know.

That's it for this one. I'll get on the rest of the
astrological designs in the coming week so you will see two
newsletters in a very short period of time which will make
up for the drought.

Happy Stitching!!
